Shaukat Tarin, Adviser to the Prime Minister on Finance and Revenue has directed the Federal Board of Revenue (FBR) to ensure security of taxpayers’ data.

The Adviser to the Prime Minister on Finance & Revenue, Shaukat Tarin, presided over a pivotal meeting focused on automation at the Federal Board of Revenue (FBR) headquarters in Islamabad. The meeting, held a day earlier, brought together key officials to discuss progress on automation initiatives, data center upgrades, and measures to enhance data security.

In attendance were Chairman FBR/Secretary Revenue Division, Dr. Muhammad Ashfaq Ahmed, Member FBR (IT) Dr. Ashfaq Ahmad Tunio, Chief Information Officer (CIO) Mansoor Sultan, and Chairman of the Board of Governors at PRAL (Pakistan Revenue Automation Pvt. Ltd.), Syed Javed.

During the meeting, the advisers provided comprehensive updates on the advancements in various automation projects undertaken by the FBR. The discussions also covered the ongoing efforts to upgrade the data center infrastructure and implement measures to strengthen data security, a critical aspect in the digital era.
