Islamabad, June 14, 2025 – The Pakistan Meteorological Department (PMD) has forecast thunderstorm activity across several districts of Punjab on Sunday, June 15, 2025.
The weather outlook for the province suggests a mix of hot, dry, and partly cloudy conditions, with potential for localized dust and thunderstorm-related rainfall.
According to the PMD, on Sunday, hot and partly cloudy weather will prevail in most Punjab districts. However, isolated dust/thunderstorm-rain is likely in Murree, Galliyat, Attock, Chakwal, Jhelum, Rawalpindi, Sialkot, Narowal, Gujrat, Gujranwala, Sargodha, Bhakkar, Hafizabad, Mandi Bahauddin, Lahore, Sheikhupura, Faisalabad, Jhang, Sahiwal, Bahawalnagar, Rahim Yar Khan, Layyah, Multan, Bahawalpur, and Dera Ghazi Khan. Thunderstorm activity may be accompanied by hailstorms in certain areas, increasing the risk of localized damage.
For Saturday night, June 14, the PMD predicted hot and dry weather across most Punjab districts. Nevertheless, isolated incidents of duststorm and thunderstorm-related rainfall may occur in Murree, Galliyat, Rawalpindi, Jhelum, Chakwal, Sialkot, Narowal, Lahore, Kasur, Okara, Sheikhupura, Faisalabad, Sahiwal, Bahawalnagar, Layyah, Multan, Bahawalpur, Kot Addu, and Rahim Yar Khan. Thunderstorms could develop rapidly in these areas due to increasing atmospheric instability.

These severe weather conditions may damage vulnerable structures, including electric poles, solar panels, trees, and vehicles in parts of Punjab.
