Hollywood superstar Tom Cruise is reportedly reeling after his unexpected breakup with actress Ana de Armas, sources close to the couple have revealed.
According to insiders quoted by Heat World, the relationship came to an end after both stars realized they “weren’t going to go the distance” and decided they were “better off as friends.”
However, sources claim that Cruise’s controlling nature may have played a key role in the split. “Tom was constantly micromanaging her — from her image to her workouts and career choices,” one insider said. “At first, Ana was flattered, but over time she started to feel suffocated.”
The source further revealed that while Cruise is telling people he ended the relationship, he’s privately struggling to come to terms with it. “He’s very upset and can’t wrap his head around the idea that things didn’t work out,” they shared. “He saw Ana as a potential life partner and even had a top-secret prenup in the works.”
Friends say the Top Gun actor is trying to mask his pain by nitpicking Ana’s supposed flaws, but “it’s clear his pride has taken a huge knock.”
De Armas, meanwhile, appears focused on her career, with insiders saying her friends “aren’t shocked” the relationship fizzled out given Tom’s intensity.
