The Pakistan Met Office has provided a weather update for Tuesday, August 8, 2023. It is expected that most parts of the country will experience hot and humid weather.
However, there’s some good news for areas like Kashmir, Pothohar region, upper Punjab, Khyber Pakhtunkhwa, and Gilgit-Baltistan as they can expect rain, wind, and thundershowers.
The reason behind this change in weather is the moist currents coming in from the Arabian sea, which are affecting the upper regions of the country. Additionally, a westerly wave is also present over the upper parts of Pakistan.
As for the weather on August 7, 2023, it was hot and humid across most parts of the country. However, there were some areas, such as Kashmir, Pothohar region, Islamabad, upper Punjab, Khyber Pakhtunkhwa, and Gilgit-Baltistan, that experienced rain, wind, and thundershowers.
Looking at the past 24 hours, the weather remained hot and humid in most areas of the country. However, there were some instances of rain and thundershowers in upper Khyber Pakhtunkhwa, Islamabad, upper Punjab, Gilgit-Baltistan, and Kashmir.

• Khyber Pakhtunkhwa: Malam Jabba 46, Kakul 32, Dir 24, Balakot 17, Saidu Sharif, Mardan 16, Mir Khani, Drosh 09, Kalam, Pattan 01.
• Punjab: Hafizabad 43, Narowal 41, Sialkot City (36, Airport 26), Islamabad (City 19, Airport 18), Jhelum 18, Mangla, Attock 16, Murree 15, Gujrat 11, Chakwal 10, Mandi Bahauddin 06, Sargodha City 04, Gujranwala 03.
• Gilgit-Baltistan: Bagrote 14, Astore 12, Babusar 11, Gupis 04, Bunji 03.
• Kashmir: Kotli 09, Rawalakot 07, Garhi Dupatta, Muzaffarabad (Airport & City 04).
As for today’s recorded highest maximum temperatures (°C), Dalbandin reached 44°C, while Dadu and Sibbi recorded temperatures of 42°C.
