Zendaya says adopting a new puppy may not have been practical, but calls the latest addition to her and Tom Holland’s household “wonderful”
Zendaya has revealed that she and partner Tom Holland recently adopted a new puppy, expanding their household into a three-dog family.
In a recent interview with Elle, the Challengers star admitted the decision may not have been the most practical one, but said it felt emotionally right.
“Logistically, it wasn’t probably the smartest idea,” Zendaya said. “But emotionally, it was. He’s a wonderful addition to our family.”
The actress said she was immediately drawn to the pocket bully puppy and could not leave him behind after seeing his face.
Zendaya has previously spoken openly about her affection for dogs and the luxurious lifestyle enjoyed by her pets. Earlier this year, she joked in an interview that her dogs receive “fancy meals with vitamin supplements,” describing them as part of her family.
“It sounds very ridiculous when I talk about it, but I love my child,” she said while discussing her pets.
Holland has also long been known for his love of dogs, particularly his Staffordshire Bull Terrier, Tessa, who died in 2024.
The Spider-Man actor previously described Tessa as “the sweetest, most angelic thing,” while his father, Dominic Holland, once referred to the dog as “the only Holland who everyone loved all of the time.”
The couple, who generally keep their relationship private, have occasionally shared glimpses of their personal life through interviews and social media posts.
