The recent hillclimb of the Bolide at Goodwood marked the car’s first public appearance in the UK. Previously, it had made a global debut with a track lap at the centenary of the 24 Hours of Le Mans in France.
Continuing to entertain the Goodwood Festival of Speed community, the Bolide took part in the Batch 6a Supercar Run, tackling the hillclimb each day. Renowned motorsport driver and Bugatti Pilote Officiel, Andy Wallace, had the honor of driving Bugatti’s most extreme modern-day car at the Festival of Speed.
Expressing his excitement, Andy said, “To be behind the wheel of the Bolide as it takes on the hillclimb at this year’s Goodwood Festival of Speed is an incredible feeling. The Bolide captured the hearts and minds of onlookers at Le Mans last month during its incredible track lap, but driving this supremely focused and motorsport-inspired Bugatti at the Festival of Speed, on the revered road so close to spectators, is a unique and special experience. The Bolide provides sensations that other hypercars simply can’t match, such as the staggering downforce and g-forces. With outstanding craftsmanship and distinct characteristics, the Bolide remains true to the incomparable Bugatti DNA.”

The Goodwood Festival of Speed is an exceptional event that celebrates motorsport and automotive excellence. Established 30 years ago in 1993, the festival now attracts approximately 180,000 visitors annually, making it the largest gathering of its kind worldwide.
At the heart of the festival lies the hillclimb, a narrow and winding road that ascends through the scenic grounds of Goodwood House. The Bolide joined the ranks of iconic Bugatti models from the past, including the Type 35 racing cars of the 1930s and the acclaimed EB110 of the 1990s, as it conquered the challenging and renowned route.
The Bolide’s impressive attributes, such as its raw power, precise handling, rapid acceleration, and streamlined aerodynamic design, were showcased as it completed the hillclimb multiple times.
