Round of 32 lineup continues to take shape as top teams from multiple groups book places in the FIFA World Cup knockout phase.

The race for the FIFA World Cup 2026 knockout stage is gathering momentum, with 19 of the tournament’s 48 participating teams officially confirming their places in the Round of 32 after a series of exciting group-stage matches.

From Group A, Mexico and South Africa have successfully advanced to the knockout rounds after producing consistent performances throughout the group stage. Their qualification highlights the growing competitiveness of the expanded 48-team FIFA World Cup format.

Group B has produced three qualifiers, with Switzerland, Canada, and Bosnia and Herzegovina securing progression to the next phase. The trio impressed with disciplined displays and crucial victories to earn their spots among the tournament’s final 32 teams.

In Group C, football giants Brazil comfortably advanced alongside Morocco, while Group D saw the United States and Australia qualify after delivering strong campaigns. Both teams capitalized on key opportunities to finish among the leading sides in their respective group.

Group E has been one of the most competitive groups of the tournament. Germany, Ivory Coast, and Ecuador all secured qualification for the knockout stage. Ecuador’s remarkable campaign, including a stunning victory over Germany, has been one of the biggest surprises of the World Cup so far.

Meanwhile, Group F produced three qualifiers, with the Netherlands, Japan, and Sweden all progressing after impressive performances. Their consistency ensured safe passage into the Round of 32.

In Group I, France and Norway have booked their places in the next round, while Argentina, led by football icon Lionel Messi, successfully advanced from Group J. Colombia also confirmed qualification from Group K, continuing its impressive run in the competition.

Attention now turns to Group K, where the fate of Portugal, captained by Cristiano Ronaldo, remains undecided. Portugal’s qualification will be determined following its crucial match against Colombia, which could finalize another spot in the knockout bracket.
