Actor said to be focusing on rebuilding career after legal dispute linked to It Ends With Us
Justin Baldoni is reportedly willing to work again with Blake Lively on a sequel to It Ends With Us following the reported resolution of their highly publicized feud.
According to reports citing an unnamed source, Baldoni is now shifting his attention back to filmmaking after months of legal disputes, public backlash, and controversy surrounding the film franchise.
“Justin finally feels like he can breathe again,” the source reportedly said, adding that the actor had spent months dealing with lawsuits, criticism, and crisis management.
The insider claimed that uncertainty surrounding the legal battle had raised concerns within the industry about the future of the franchise.
“People genuinely thought the franchise was dead,” the source said, noting that studios and producers were uncertain whether the sequel had become “too toxic to touch.”
The reported dispute stemmed from a sexual harassment lawsuit allegedly filed by Lively against Baldoni, although details regarding the status of the matter remain limited.
According to the source, Baldoni now believes audiences are ready to move beyond the controversy and refocus attention on the film series itself.
“He thinks the focus can finally return to the movies instead of the drama,” the insider reportedly said.
The source further claimed that Baldoni would be willing to reunite professionally with Lively if it helped continue the franchise.
“Justin would work with Blake again if it helped save the franchise,” the source said, adding that the actor was more interested in returning to filmmaking than prolonging personal conflict.
The first It Ends With Us film, starring Baldoni and Lively in lead roles, was released in theaters on August 9, 2024, and drew significant public attention following its debut.
