Khloe Kardashian has seemingly addressed Tokyo Toni, Blac Chyna’s mother, in response to online criticism comparing their approaches to charity during Thanksgiving celebrations.
The 40-year-old reality star shared a glimpse of her Thanksgiving festivities on Instagram, featuring her children and her mother, Kris Jenner, amid an opulent setting. However, a fan’s comment brought Tokyo Toni into the discussion, highlighting her Thanksgiving effort of feeding the people experiencing homelessness, which she had shared through videos on social media.
The user remarked, “Y’all over here enjoying while Dream’s grandma is feeding the people experiencing homelessness.”
In response, Khloe referenced a Bible verse, writing, “’Watch out! Don’t do your good deeds publicly, to be admired by others, for you will lose the reward from your Father in heaven.’ Matthew 6:1-4.”
She added, seemingly addressing Tokyo, “Just because we don’t post about it doesn’t mean we aren’t doing it, my love. Sending you love and blessings.”
Khloe elaborated further in a separate comment, clarifying her perspective: “I’m not knocking what anyone else chooses to show or keep to themselves. But personally, when people fall on hard times, I don’t feel it’s right to publicise that for my own pat on the back. Highlighting a charity or organisation that needs awareness is one thing, but showcasing individuals during their struggles isn’t something I feel comfortable with.”
Tokyo Toni didn’t remain silent and reacted on her Instagram stories by sharing a screenshot of Khloe’s comment. She challenged Khloe, saying, “Do a food drive or I’m snitching on your a–. Let me see you whip up some macaroni cheese.” She also mocked the Kardashians’ signature luxury style, suggesting Khloe don a pink apron and a Versace bow for the occasion.
She further criticized Khloe’s choice to engage with a comment referencing her, saying, “Out of the countless comments you could’ve chosen to engage with, Khloe. Someone in reference to me? In a way that totally undermines my work.”
The exchange highlights the differing philosophies around publicizing acts of charity, with Khloe advocating for discretion and Tokyo Toni emphasizing visibility and action. The back-and-forth has stirred conversation among fans, reflecting broader debates on how public figures navigate philanthropy and criticism in the digital age.
