Nothing Teases Budget-Friendly Phone (4b) Series Launch

IT & Telecom

Consumer technology company Nothing has intensified speculation about a new budget smartphone after releasing fresh teasers that strongly suggest the launch of the Nothing Phone (4b) series.

The development comes just days after the company began promoting a new product carrying the “(b)” branding on social media. The teaser campaign followed Nothing’s confirmation that it would not introduce a new CMF-branded smartphone this year, fuelling expectations that a new affordable handset could be added to its main smartphone lineup.

New Teaser Reveals Phone (4b) Branding

In a newly released video teaser shared by Nothing India, the company appeared to confirm the arrival of the Phone (4b) series while offering an early look at the device’s design.

The teaser features a sketch of a smartphone displaying the “(4b)” branding, providing the clearest indication yet that the new device is under development. At the same time, an official Flipkart microsite has gone live, further highlighting the “(b)” branding and suggesting that the launch could be approaching.

Industry observers believe the coordinated teaser campaign signals that Nothing is preparing to formally unveil the smartphone in the coming weeks.

Transparent Design Expected to Continue

The teaser also hints that the Nothing Phone (4b) will retain the company’s distinctive transparent rear-panel design language.

Based on the sketch shown in the video, the smartphone appears to feature a single rear camera, a notable departure from the multi-camera setups found on several recent Nothing devices.

The design suggests that the company may be targeting entry-level and budget-conscious consumers while maintaining the visual identity that has helped differentiate its smartphones in a competitive market.

Position in Nothing’s Smartphone Lineup

Analysts expect the Nothing Phone (4b) to be positioned below the existing Phone (4a) series, serving as a more affordable option for consumers seeking the Nothing experience at a lower price point.

The device could effectively fill the gap left by the absence of a successor to the CMF Phone 2 Pro, allowing Nothing to strengthen its presence in the budget smartphone segment.

While the company has yet to disclose specifications, pricing or a launch date, the latest teasers indicate that additional details about the Nothing Phone (4b) may be revealed soon.
