Islamabad, April 30, 2026 — Pakistan has successfully exported its first consignment to Kyrgyzstan via a land route, marking a major milestone in strengthening regional trade connectivity.
The shipment was facilitated by the Karachi Export Processing Zones Authority (EPZA), signaling a new phase in Pakistan’s efforts to expand its export footprint in Central Asia.
Details of the First Export Consignment
According to an official statement, the consignment was valued at $62,461.60 and comprised 2,113 packages. The exported goods included:
• Herbal oils
• Herbal tea
• Henna products
• Beauty creams
• Soaps
This reflects the growing diversification of Pakistan’s value-added exports under the “Made in Pakistan” initiative.
Boost to Regional Trade Connectivity
The use of a land corridor highlights Pakistan’s strategic focus on improving trade routes and accessing emerging markets in Central Asia. Officials noted that this step would strengthen economic ties with Kyrgyzstan and create new opportunities for exporters.

The Chairman of Karachi Export Processing Zones Authority said the initiative aligns with the government’s broader economic strategy to enhance exports.
