Pakistan Weather Report for September 11, 2024

Islamabad, September 11, 2024 – The Pakistan Meteorological Department (PMD) has issued its weather forecast for Wednesday, September 11, 2024, with a focus on varying conditions across different regions of the country.

A low-pressure system is currently situated in southeast Sindh at the lower tropospheric level, while a westerly wave is affecting the upper parts of Pakistan. These systems are contributing to diverse weather patterns, with much of the country expected to experience hot and dry conditions, but scattered rainfall is likely in select regions.

Today’s Weather Forecast

The PMD predicts that most of the country will experience hot and dry weather throughout the day. However, partly cloudy skies with rain-wind/thunderstorms are expected at isolated locations, primarily in southeast Sindh, upper Khyber Pakhtunkhwa, northeast Punjab, Kashmir, and surrounding hilly areas. These weather patterns are attributed to the interaction between the westerly wave in the upper regions and the low-pressure system in Sindh.

Residents of the affected areas are advised to stay prepared for sudden rain spells, gusty winds, and possible thunderstorms, which may cause short-term disruptions in daily activities.

Thursday’s Forecast (September 12, 2024)

Looking ahead, the PMD forecasts that the weather for Thursday, September 12, 2024, will remain largely the same, with hot and dry weather expected across the majority of Pakistan. No significant change in weather conditions is anticipated, although isolated showers in specific regions may continue.
