Karachi, March 14, 2026 – The Port Qasim Authority (PQA) has issued its daily shipping and cargo movement report for Saturday, providing key updates on vessel activity, cargo handling, and maritime operations at the country’s second-largest seaport.
According to the Marine Operations Department, a total of 11 vessels were berthed at various terminals of Port Qasim as of 0800 hours on March 14, 2026, while 20 vessels were registered in the port’s system and two ships were expected to arrive later in the day.
Cargo handling operations
The report indicates that several vessels were engaged in the handling of major import and export commodities including coal, rice, cement, palm oil, canola seed, LPG, phosphoric acid, mogas, bitumen, soybean seed, and containers. These cargoes are critical for Pakistan’s energy, food, and industrial supply chains.
Ships such as M.V. Bristol, M.V. Grand Ocean, M.T. Chemroad Kaia, M.T. Ocean Princess-1, and M.V. Common Luck were among those involved in cargo operations at different terminals including PIBT, LCT, M/W terminals, and FOTCO.
Coal imports remained one of the major cargo movements at the port, handled mainly through Pakistan International Bulk Terminal (PIBT), while edible oil shipments such as palm oil and soybean seed were processed at liquid cargo terminals. Liquefied petroleum gas (LPG) cargo operations were also recorded during the reporting period.
Vessel movements
The report noted several vessel movements expected during the day. Ships scheduled to sail from Port Qasim included M.T. Navigator Aries, M.T. Aprex, M.V. Eurosun, and M.V. Al Amal after completing their cargo operations.
Meanwhile, a number of vessels were scheduled to berth at various terminals, including M.V. Pacific Diva at PQEPT, M.T. Ullswater at SSGC, M.V. Norse Expansion at PIBT, and M.V. Agios Dimitrios at QT2-I. Container ships M.V. MSC Vidhi and M.V. GFS Jade were also expected to berth later in the day.
Expected ship arrivals
The shipping schedule further shows that container vessels M.V. Agios Dimitrios and M.V. MSC Vidhi were listed among the ships expected to arrive at the port on March 14 to handle containerized cargo at designated terminals.
Maritime operations update
Port authorities also reported continued dredging activity, with the dredger Indus Dolphin completing six operational trips during the previous 24 hours, contributing to ongoing channel maintenance to ensure safe navigation for incoming and outgoing vessels.
