Karachi, January 24, 2025 – The Port Qasim Authority (PQA) has released its detailed shipping activity report for Friday, January 24, 2025, highlighting the ongoing operations at one of Pakistan’s busiest ports.
The report provides insight into the movement of vessels, cargo handling, and berthing schedules, ensuring transparency and facilitation for shipping stakeholders.
Sailing of Vessels
The shipping report reveals significant activity, with multiple vessels completing operations and preparing for departure. Among them, the M.V-BULLITT, registered under PQA number 35355, sailed after discharging a shipment of 22,263 metric tons of chickpeas. This vessel, managed by Sea Trade Shipping, had its draft readings of 9.80 meters aft and 9.65 meters forward upon departure.
Another notable departure was the M.V-PRINCE ZAIN (PQA Reg No: 35327), which completed its loading of 24,000 metric tons of rice. The vessel, operated by Ocean World, set sail from the M/W-II berth at 3:00 PM, continuing the port’s vital role in supporting the export of Pakistan’s rice to international markets.
Berthing of Vessels
The day also saw the arrival and berthing of several vessels at Port Qasim. The M.T-BENTLEY I (Reg No: 35329), carrying 18,838 metric tons of palm oil, berthed at M/W-I under the agency of Al-Pine Marine. This shipment is a critical component in meeting Pakistan’s demand for edible oil.
Additionally, the M.T-MERBA BU (Reg No: 35369), transporting 50,000 metric tons of high-sulfur fuel oil (HSFO), berthed at FOTCO terminal. This fuel oil is essential for powering industrial and energy sectors across the country.
The cargo operations continued into the evening with the arrival of the M.V-SPLIT (Reg No: 35347), carrying 31,500 metric tons of rice. Managed by Ocean Services, this vessel docked at M/W-II for efficient handling of its export cargo.
