Port Qasim Authority on Saturday released its daily shipping activity and cargo handling report for May 9, 2026, providing updated information on vessel movements during the past 24 hours.
The report, updated at 8:00 AM Pakistan Standard Time (PKT), is issued to facilitate shipping companies, importers, exporters and other stakeholders in the maritime sector.
Vessels sailed from Port Qasim
According to the latest report, three vessels departed from Port Qasim during the reporting period carrying rice, coal and steel coil cargoes.
Departing vessels:
• M.V-DSM FERRO carrying 38,000 metric tons of rice departed from berth M/W-II at 12:00 under the agency of Ocean Services.
• M.V-GOOBY sailed from PQEPT at 12:00 carrying 51,565 metric tons of coal, handled by Al-Pine Marine.
• M.V-LONG VIEW LOGGER departed from M/W-I at 15:30 with 27,390 metric tons of steel coil cargo under GAC Shipping.
New vessels berthed at the port
The Port Qasim Authority also reported the berthing of three vessels carrying coal and containerized cargo.
Berthing vessels:
• M.V-HARMONY berthed at HFP&S-IV at 09:00 carrying 42,300 metric tons of coal under Ocean World.
• M.V-MSC NOA arrived at QT2-II at 15:00 with container cargo under MSC Pakistan.
• M.V-ELEFSIS berthed at PIBT at 18:00 carrying 58,661 metric tons of coal, also handled by Ocean World.
Port activity remains crucial for trade operations
Port Qasim is one of Pakistan’s busiest seaports and plays a vital role in handling imports and exports, including coal, containers, rice, petroleum products and industrial raw materials.
Daily vessel movement reports issued by the authority help traders, shipping agents and logistics companies monitor cargo operations and maritime activity efficiently.
