Pakistan Tennis Federation recognises players and coaches after international and domestic successes between Feb–May 2026

The Pakistan Tennis Federation has taken a significant step towards promoting tennis in the country by distributing Rs 4 million in performance-based incentives to players and coaches. The recognition was given for their impressive performances in both national and international competitions held from February to May 2026, marking one of the federation’s most notable reward initiatives in recent years.

During the review period, Pakistan tennis witnessed strong progress on multiple fronts. The national squad delivered a standout performance in the Davis Cup by securing a convincing win against Senegal, strengthening Pakistan’s standing in international team tennis. In addition, local players made their mark in ITF Juniors events, where they secured multiple singles and doubles titles, showcasing rising young talent.

Pakistani athletes also excelled in the ITF Futures tournaments held in Islamabad, where they dominated several categories, clinching both singles and doubles championships on home soil. These achievements collectively highlighted a consistent upward trajectory in Pakistan’s tennis performance at different competitive levels.

To honour these accomplishments, PTF President Aisam-ul-Haq Qureshi distributed cash rewards among a large group of players and officials, including Aqeel Khan, Muhammad Shoaib, Muzammil Murtaza, Yousaf Khalil, Rashid Malik, Muhammad Khalid, Mushaf Zia, Shahzad Khan, Furqan Ahmad, Muhammad Arshad Javed, Ehtisham Humayun, Hamza Roman, Abubakar Talha and Mikaeel Ali Baig.

Speaking on the occasion, Aisam-ul-Haq Qureshi said the federation is proud of the dedication and hard work shown by players and support staff. He noted that the achievements have brought honour to Pakistan and reaffirmed the federation’s commitment to encouraging athletes through structured incentives and long-term support.

PTF Secretary General Col. (R) Zia-ud-Din Tufail also congratulated the recipients, stating that the federation remains focused on expanding tennis development programs nationwide. He emphasised that such rewards not only recognise performance but also motivate young athletes to pursue excellence at international levels.

The initiative reflects a broader effort by the Pakistan Tennis Federation to build a stronger, more competitive tennis structure in the country while rewarding consistent success.
