Karachi, August 1, 2023 – Engro Polymer & Chemicals Limited (EPCL) has signed a significant agreement with Sui Southern Gas Company Limited (SSGC) to secure the supply of gas for its captive power generation plant located at Port Qasim Industrial Zone in Karachi.
In an official announcement made on Tuesday, EPCL revealed that it has entered into a Supplemental Agreement (SA) with SSGC to facilitate the supply of gas from August 01, 2023, to September 30, 2023, based on an “as and when” available basis. The agreement aims to ensure a continuous and reliable supply of gas during this period, allowing EPCL’s operations to continue unhindered.
The captive power generation plant at Port Qasim Industrial Zone plays a critical role in supporting EPCL’s production activities, and the availability of a reliable gas supply is essential for maintaining uninterrupted operations. With this agreement in place, EPCL can operate its facilities at full capacity, meeting the demands of its customers and maintaining a steady supply of products to the market.
