FBR posts Ansari as Member Customs Operations

The Federal Board of Revenue (FBR) has undertaken a reshuffle in the senior echelons of the Pakistan Customs Service (PCS), announcing the transfer and posting of officers in the BS-21 cadre with immediate effect until further orders.

As per the official notification issued on Tuesday, Mukarram Jah Ansari, an officer holding the rank of BS-21 in the Pakistan Customs Service, has been appointed as the Member (Customs-Operations) at the Federal Board of Revenue Headquarters in Islamabad. His previous assignment was as Member at the Federal Board of Revenue in the capital.

Simultaneously, Syed Muhammad Tariq Huda, also a BS-21 officer in the Pakistan Customs Service, has been reassigned to the position of Member at the Federal Board of Revenue Headquarters in Islamabad. He previously served as Member (Customs-Operations) at the Federal Board of Revenue Headquarters.

The reshuffle is part of routine administrative measures aimed at optimizing the performance and efficiency of the Pakistan Customs Service, ensuring that officers are strategically placed to contribute effectively to the organization’s objectives.

It’s noteworthy that the FBR has emphasized the seamless transition of responsibilities, urging the concerned officers to utilize the online Human Resource Management System (HRMS) facility provided by the FBR or use their Integrated Joint Personnel (IJP) logins for the smooth relinquishment and assumption of charges.

The FBR also clarified that officers currently receiving performance allowances before the issuance of this notification will continue to draw these allowances at their new places of posting.

These appointments come in the backdrop of ongoing efforts by the FBR to enhance the overall functioning of the revenue board and its affiliated services. The strategic placement of senior officers, such as Members in key positions, plays a crucial role in steering the direction and effectiveness of the Pakistan Customs Service in fulfilling its responsibilities.

As the FBR continues its commitment to administrative excellence and operational efficiency, these recent appointments underscore the significance of leadership roles within the organization. The FBR looks forward to the continued dedication and contributions of the appointed officers towards achieving the revenue targets and fostering a culture of excellence within the Pakistan Customs Service.
