ISLAMABAD: Syed Shabbar Zaidi, Chairman, Federal Board of Revenue (FBR) on Friday said that a new audit framework will be launched next week.
“The FBR will launch a taxpayers’ friendly, easy, simple and effective audit framework in the first week of October 2019,” Zaidi said in a message on social media.
He said that the purpose of the new audit framework to facilitate reasonable taxpayers. “It will be designed to have a paradigm shift in tax culture,” he said, added that it would minimize tax officials and taxpayers interaction.
The chairman also denied any deadlock between FBR and small traders. He said that traders are integral and useful part of the economy.
“As a regulator tax we will accept all suggestions and recommendations placed by traders, which are in the interest of the economy and the people of Pakistan,” he added.
