Technology showcase highlights GAC’s global innovation in electric mobility and next-generation air transportation
GAC Pakistan has offered local automotive enthusiasts a glimpse into the future by displaying two of its most advanced mobility solutions at Royal Palm — the all-electric Hyptec SSR supercar and the innovative GOVY AirCab flying vehicle.
The exhibition attracted significant attention from visitors eager to witness cutting-edge developments in electric and autonomous transportation technologies.
Not a Commercial Launch
Before excitement turns into purchase plans, GAC Pakistan has made it clear that neither the Hyptec SSR nor the GOVY AirCab is being launched for sale in Pakistan.
Instead, the event serves as a technology showcase designed to demonstrate the brand’s global engineering capabilities and innovation in future mobility.
The company shared highlights from the event, emphasizing that the exhibition is intended to showcase what GAC is capable of developing on the international stage rather than introducing new products to the local market.
Hyptec SSR Takes Center Stage
One of the biggest attractions at the showcase is the Hyptec SSR, a high-performance electric supercar built to redefine what EVs can achieve.
The two-seat sports car has already earned a place in the record books by setting a Guinness World Record for the highest drift speed ever achieved by a pure electric vehicle.
The supercar recorded an astonishing drift speed of 213.523 km/h, a feat officially verified by Guinness World Records.
This achievement highlights the growing capabilities of electric performance vehicles and demonstrates how EV technology continues to challenge traditional supercars.
Performance That Rivals Hypercars
Underneath its futuristic design, the Hyptec SSR features a powerful tri-motor all-wheel-drive system producing 900 kW of power, equivalent to an incredible 1,207 horsepower.
The vehicle is equipped with a 74.7 kWh battery pack and offers a CLTC-rated driving range of up to 506 kilometers.
The Ultimate variant displayed at Royal Palm can sprint from 0 to 100 km/h in just 1.9 seconds. Its butterfly-wing doors, carbon-fiber body, and advanced aerodynamics further enhance its supercar credentials, making it one of the most technologically advanced EVs showcased in the region.
GOVY AirCab Brings Flying Mobility Closer
Sharing the spotlight with the SSR is the GOVY AirCab, GAC’s electric vertical take-off and landing (eVTOL) aircraft. Designed as a two-seat flying vehicle, the AirCab represents the company’s vision for the future of urban transportation.
Unlike many futuristic concepts that exist only as prototypes, the GOVY AirCab has already entered production.
The first production unit rolled off GAC’s Guangzhou manufacturing line on May 29, 2026, marking a significant milestone in the development of air mobility solutions.
Advanced Technology for Urban Travel
The GOVY AirCab features a lightweight structure made from more than 90 percent carbon-fiber composite materials, helping improve efficiency and performance.
It supports Level 4 autonomous flight capabilities and can be recharged in approximately 25 minutes, making it a practical concept for future urban transportation networks.
Why This Showcase Matters
Although neither vehicle is expected to reach Pakistani showrooms anytime soon, their presence at Royal Palm demonstrates how rapidly transportation technology is evolving.
The showcase provides consumers, industry professionals, and technology enthusiasts with a rare opportunity to experience innovations that could influence the future of mobility worldwide.
As electric performance cars continue to break records and flying vehicles move closer to commercial reality, GAC’s latest showcase highlights the exciting possibilities that lie ahead for the automotive and transportation industries.
