Karachi, April 8, 2024 – The Karachi Port Trust (KPT) has released the shipping movements for Monday, April 8, 2024, to facilitate stakeholders involved in maritime trade and logistics.

Here’s a summary of the recent activities at the port:

Ships Berthed: Several vessels have berthed at the Karachi Port Trust over the last 48 hours, ending at 0700 hours on Monday. These include:

1. WAN HAI 612 Container Ship

2. Navios Lapis Container Ship

3. TG Taurus Tanker

4. Ever Urus Container Ship

5. BBG Leader General Cargo

6. Stolt Island Tanker

7. Mumbai Cement

8. Onur GA Container Ship

9. CMA CGM Mercantour Container Ship

10. Atlantic Ibis Container Ship

11. Clemens Container Ship

Ships Sailed: Several ships have also sailed from the port during the same period, including the Express Rome, Wan Hai 612, Clean Thrasher, Mafrsk Elorence, Sounion Trader, ESL Zanzibar, Sehnaz KA, X-Press Salween, XIN Hong Kong, and Ince Inebolu.

Expected Sailing: The following ships are expected to sail on April 8, 2024:

Cargo Handling Turnover: During the last 48 hours, the total cargo handled at Karachi Port amounted to 344,029 Metric Tons. This included 167,576 Metric Tons of export cargo and 176,453 Metric Tons of import cargo. The breakdown by commodity type is as follows:

• Containerized Cargo: 255,719 Metric Tons (Import: 130,041 MT, Export: 125,678 MT)

• Bulk Cargo: 13,928 Metric Tons (Import)

• Loose Bulk Cement: 9,664 Metric Tons (Export)

• Mill Scale: 15,500 Metric Tons (Export)

• Wheat: 25,566 Metric Tons (Import)

• Oil/Liquid Cargo: 23,652 Metric Tons (Import: 6,918 MT, Export: 16,734 MT)
