Karachi, June 26, 2023: The Large Taxpayers Office (LTO) Karachi on Monday achieved a significant milestone by surpassing the landmark gross revenue collection of Rs2 trillion during the fiscal year 2022-2023.
This achievement highlights the city’s growing economic activity and the efficiency of tax collection efforts in Pakistan’s financial hub.
The major contributors to the gross revenue collection of the LTO Karachi were income tax, which accounted for Rs933 billion, followed by sales tax at Rs974 billion, and Federal Excise Duty at Rs96 billion.
