Karachi, Pakistan – The fifth Pakistan Effie Awards, an esteemed platform recognizing advertising effectiveness, took place at the Expo Center on June 3rd, 2023.
Organized by the Pakistan Advertisers Society (PAS), the event celebrated outstanding campaigns that showcased remarkable results and innovation.
In the non-profit category, M&C Saatchi World Services claimed the prestigious Gold Effie Award for their groundbreaking advertisement, “Let’s Talk – Addressing Pakistan’s Brown Bag Syndrome,” created for the FCDO (Foreign, Commonwealth & Development Office). The campaign was developed as part of the Delivering Accelerated Family Planning in Pakistan (DAFPAK) initiative’s social behavior change communication component, under the platform KhairKhwah. The overarching goal was to improve access to family planning services and disseminate messages for the betterment of Pakistani society.
The “Let’s Talk” campaign focused on raising awareness and initiating meaningful conversations around the critical issue of population growth in Pakistan. Drawing insights from extensive research, the campaign aimed to challenge societal norms and stimulate constructive dialogue regarding family planning and its long-term implications for the nation.

The Brown Bag campaign ingeniously utilized multiple touchpoints to engage the target audience, employing traditional media, digital platforms, and on-ground activations.
