Pakistan and Sri Lanka have agreed to reinforce their partnership. The two nations have decided to implement existing memorandums of understanding (MoUs), sign new MoUs, and explore additional avenues of collaboration.
During the 18th Asia/Oceania Region Inter-Government Ministerial Meeting/Conference on Anti-Doping in Sports held in Colombo, Minister for Inter-Provincial Coordination (IPC) Ehsan Ur Rehman Mazari and Sri Lankan Sports Minister Roshan Ranasinghe convened to discuss ways to strengthen their bilateral ties.

The meeting witnessed the presence of esteemed Sri Lankan cricketer Arjuna Ranatunga and the Secretary of the Sports Ministry of Sri Lanka.
The key agenda of the discussion focused on enhancing cooperation in sports and fostering increased interaction between the people of both countries.

Minister Mazari expressed Pakistan’s willingness to support Sri Lanka by providing coaches in various sports disciplines, with a particular emphasis on hockey, squash, and kabaddi.
In acknowledgment of Pakistan’s support in the sports sector, the Sri Lankan minister expressed gratitude for the contribution of Rs52.000 million made by Pakistan towards sports development in Sri Lanka.
