    ISLAMABAD: Federal Board of Revenue (FBR) on Monday constituted department promotion and selection committees for making recommendation for promotions and selections of Customs officials.

    A notification issued by the FBR stated that in pursuance of Establishment Division’s concurrence conveyed vide OM No. 13/16/2015-R.IV dated February 12, 2021, the following departmental promotion/selection committees in respect of posts in BS-17 to BS-18, BS-16 to BS-17 and BS-11 to BS-16 for Pakistan Customs Service / Customs field formation have been constituted for making recommendations to the appointing authority for promotions and selection:

    For post in BS-16 to BS-17 and BS-17 to BS-18:

    02. Chief HRMC BS-20, Member

    Islamabad: Federal Board of Revenue (FBR) on Friday notified promotion of officers of Pakistan Customs Service (PCS) from BS-17 to BS-18.

    Through another notification the FBR said that officers Pakistan Customs Service from BS-17 to BS-18 were considered for promotion by the Departmental Promotion Committee on December 31, 2020.

    The committee recommended the following officers for promotion subject to completion of satisfactory missing Performance Evaluation Reports (PERs) mentioned against each without adverse remarks.-

    Malik Muhammad Ahmed 01.07.2019 to 15.02.2020

    All Asad  01.10.2019 to 30.06.2020

    The FBR said that the promotions of the officers would take effect from the date of their joining, subject to the condition that no disciplinary proceedings/inquiry was pending against them.

    The promoted officers will be on probation for a period of one year, extendable for further period, not exceeding one year, provided that if no order is issued by the day following the termination of probationary period, the appointment shall deem to be held until further order.

    The officers already drawing performance allowance equal to 100 percent of basic pay will continue to draw it on their promotion.

    ISLAMABAD: Federal Board of Revenue (FBR) has notified promotions to BS-22 of officers of Inland Revenue Service (IRS) and Pakistan Customs Service (PCS).

    According to a notification issued October 29, 2020, in pursuance of approval of the Competent Authority conveyed vide Establishment Division’s U.O No.7/1/2020-CP-VI, dated 29.10.2020, the following BS-21 officers of IRS are promoted to BS-22 in the same service on regular basis with immediate effect:-

    1) Ms. Seema Shakil

    2) Nadir Mumtaz Warraich

    3) Dr. Muhammad Ali Khan

    The FBR said that the officers appearing at Sr .No. 2 and 3 will actualize their promotion from the date they return from deputation and join FBR.

    The FBR said that the promotion will take effect from the date of charge assumption subject to the condition that no disciplinary proceedings are pending against them.

    The FBR further said that the promoted officers would undergo a departmental training for a period of three months at Directorate General of Training and Research, Inland Revenue for which separate schedule would be issued by the board.

    “In case an officer is retiring within one year from commencement of the said training, he will be exempt from such training.”

    The officers will remain on probation for a period of one year, extendable further for one year, subject to satisfactory completion of the training.

    The FBR said that the officers at Sr. Nos. 07, 14, 24 and 32 will actualize their promotion from the date of their return from deputation and joining FBR (Hq), Islamabad.

    The officer at Sr. No. 08 is promoted subject to completion of satisfactory PERs, without any adverse entry/remarks, for the period 01.07.2018 to 30.06.2019. The officer at Sr. No. 19 is promoted subject to completion of satisfactory PERs, without any adverse entry/remarks, for the period 01.07.2018 to 31.03.2019.

    The officer at Sr. No. 25 is promoted subject to completion of satisfactory PERs, without any adverse entry/remarks, for the period 28.03.2019 to 30.06.2019 and will actualize his promotion from the date of his return from deputation and joining FBR (Hq), Islamabad.

    The officers already working in BS-19 on acting charge basis or on OPS basis as Additional Commissioner / Additional Director / Secretary FBR (HQ), Islamabad shall actualize promotion at their present place of posting. For actualization of promotion in BS-19 on regular basis of the remaining officers, transfer / posting order shall be notified separately and they shall actualize accordingly.

    Following BS-18 officers of Inland Revenue Service are appointed in BS-19 on acting charge basis with immediate effect:-
