FBR transfers BS-20 IRS officers in major reshuffle

The Federal Board of Revenue (FBR) has executed a significant reshuffle within the Inland Revenue Service (IRS), affecting officers holding the rank of BS-20.

The reshuffle, announced on Monday, is effective immediately and will remain in place until further orders.

The FBR has released a comprehensive list of transfers and postings, impacting several IRS officers. Some of the key changes include:

1. Ms. Laila Ghafoor: Transferred to Commissioner Inland Revenue, (Audit-I) Corporate Tax Office, Lahore from the post of Chief, (Admin Pool) Federal Board of Revenue (Hq), Islamabad.

2. Abid Mehmood: Appointed as Chief, (Revenue Operations) Inland Revenue Operations Federal Board of Revenue (Hq), Islamabad.

3. Aqeel Ahmed Siddiqui: Reassigned as Commissioner Inland Revenue (Appeals-V), Karachi from the post of Chief, (Admin Pool) Federal Board of Revenue (Hq), Islamabad.

4. Mohammed Nasser Janjua: Appointed as Director General, (OPS) Retail Federal Board of Revenue (Hq), Islamabad, with additional charge of Chief (POS), Inland Revenue Operations, FBR (HQ), Islamabad.

5. Adnan Inamullah Khan: Transferred and posted as Commissioner Inland Revenue, (WHT) Regional Tax Office, Sargodha from the post of Chief Coordinator, Chief Coordinator Computer Wing (Income Tax), Islamabad.

The reshuffle encompasses various positions, including Commissioners, Directors, and Chiefs, reflecting the FBR’s strategic reorganization within the IRS.

The FBR emphasized that officers already receiving performance allowances before the issuance of this notification will continue to receive them at their new place of posting.
