PMD Issues Pakistan Weather Report for December 10, 2023

Islamabad, December 9, 2023 – The Pakistan Meteorological Department (PMD) has released its weather forecast for Sunday, December 10, 2023.

According to the PMD, the country is expected to experience mainly cold and dry conditions, with northern districts witnessing partly cloudy skies. Additionally, fog and smog are likely to persist in the plain areas of Punjab, Khyber Pakhtunkhwa, and upper Sindh during morning and night hours.

The synoptic situation, as reported by the PMD, indicates that continental air is prevailing over most parts of the country.

Looking back at the weather on Saturday, December 9, 2023, the PMD reiterated that predominantly cold and dry weather was expected in most regions, with northern districts experiencing partly cloudy conditions. The persistence of fog and smog in the plain areas of Punjab, Khyber Pakhtunkhwa, and upper Sindh during morning and night hours was also highlighted.

The lowest minimum temperatures recorded today (in °C) are as follows: Leh at -11, Skardu at -08, Srinagar at -05, Astore and Kalam at -04, Gilgit at -03, and Kalat and Quetta at -02.
