First Russian Crude Oil Carrier Ship Arrives at Port of Karachi

The port of Karachi on Sunday welcomed its first-ever Russian crude oil carrier ship. The arrival of this vessel marks a significant milestone in the relationship between Pakistan and the Russian Federation.

The Pakistan Navy played a crucial role in safely berthing the Russian naval vessel, named “Pure Point,” prior to an impending sea storm.

Weighing a staggering 45,142 metric tons, the ship has now anchored at the Karachi port, carrying a substantial load of crude oil. According to the details, the vessel is 183 meters long.

According to Pakistan Navy authorities, the “Pure Point” has brought an impressive cargo of 45,142 metric tons of oil to Pakistan. It was skillfully maneuvered to the Offshore Petroleum Discharge (OPD) area and berthed just in time to avoid the approaching sea storm.

Prime Minister Shehbaz Sharif took to Twitter to share the momentous news, stating that he has fulfilled another promise to the nation.

He expressed his delight in announcing the arrival of the first-ever Russian discounted crude oil cargo in Karachi, which is scheduled to commence oil discharge the following day.
