A low-pressure system is forecast to develop over Indian Rajasthan on July 28, 2019, the authorities informed the ports. The influence of this system is expected to cause the following weather conditions:
1. Widespread Rains and Wind-Thunderstorms: The regions of Mirpurkhas, Thatta, Hyderabad, Karachi, Shaheed Benazirabad, Kalat, and Naseerabad divisions are anticipated to experience extensive rain and wind-thunderstorms during the period.
2. Scattered Rains and Wind-Thunderstorms: Moderate to heavy isolated falls are expected in Sukkur, Larkana, Zhob, Sibbi, and Naseerabad divisions.
3. Isolated Heavy Falls: The lower Sindh regions, including Mirpurkhas, Thatta, Hyderabad, Karachi, Kalat, and Makran divisions, are predicted to receive heavy isolated rainfall on July 29 and 30, 2019.
The heavy rainfall forecast raises concerns of urban flooding in Karachi, Thatta, and Hyderabad on July 29 and 30. Additionally, the potential for flash flooding in Kalat, Sibbi, and Zhob divisions has been highlighted.
