Authorities have been warned about the possibility of rapid flow in rivers and urban flooding in low-lying areas.

The NDMA advisory has stressed the importance of proactive measures to mitigate potential hazards. The public is urged to be informed in advance about the risks, and safety measures should be widely publicized to ensure preparedness. Furthermore, a systematic monitoring of traffic towards sensitive areas should be put in place, and emergency response machinery should be on standby to deal with any unforeseen situations.

In view of the risks posed by heavy rainfall and possible flooding, the NDMA advises people residing in low-lying areas to make arrangements for relocation to safer locations. Early evacuation plans and safe shelters should be set up to safeguard the lives and well-being of vulnerable communities.

The NDMA’s precautionary measures and timely warnings aim to reduce the impact of the monsoon-related disasters and ensure the safety and security of the public. It is essential for all relevant authorities, departments, and citizens to remain vigilant and cooperate closely to effectively handle any emergencies that may arise during this critical weather situation.
