In a bid to mark the end of the holy month of Ramadan and celebrate the festival of Eid-ul-Fitr, the Pakistani government has declared five holidays starting from April 21, 2023.
This announcement was made by the interior ministry on Thursday, April 13, 2023.
The five-day holiday period will begin on April 21, which is the first day of Eid-ul-Fitr, and will end on April 25. During this time, all public and private institutions, including banks and educational institutions, will remain closed to allow people to celebrate the festival with their families and friends.
Eid-ul-Fitr is a major religious festival for Muslims worldwide and is celebrated with great enthusiasm and fervor in Pakistan. It marks the end of the month-long fasting period of Ramadan, during which Muslims abstain from food and water from dawn till dusk.
