Volkswagen introduces Golf R 333 Limited Edition: Only 333 units produced

Volkswagen announced the arrival of the Golf R 333 Limited Edition, a special-edition model that pushes boundaries with its exceptional performance. Limited to just 333 vehicles, this model is based on the Golf R Performance and boasts an impressive power output of 333 PS (245 kW).

Equipped with top-notch features like R-Performance Torque Vectoring and Vehicle Dynamics Manager, this all-wheel-drive special edition ensures superior driving stability and traction.

Dressed in striking Lime Yellow Metallic paint, the Golf R 333 Limited Edition captivates with its distinctive appearance. Black accents further enhance its visual appeal, making it a potential collector’s item.

One of the standout features of the Golf R 333 Limited Edition is the R-Performance Torque Vectoring system, supported by the Vehicle Dynamics Manager. This advanced system not only distributes power between the front and rear axles but also between the two rear wheels, elevating the car’s sportiness, especially during cornering.

For added driving pleasure, the Drift and Special driving profiles, specifically designed for the renowned Nürburgring racetrack, deliver an exhilarating experience on non-public roads.

Emphasizing the model’s motorsport-inspired character, the Golf R 333 Limited Edition comes equipped with the R Performance exhaust system from Akrapovič, featuring titanium rear silencers.

Additionally, the sleek 19-inch Estoril wheel rims in black, adorned with semi-slick tires, enhance its athletic appeal. Notably, the top speed has been increased to an impressive 270 km/h.

The decision to limit this edition to 333 units stems from the potent 245 kW (333 PS) engine power. This output makes it the most powerful Golf variant, with a torque of 420 newton meters.

The optimized engine tuning ensures swift response during load changes, while the turbocharger maintains a constant speed during partial-load driving, leading to faster power development for accelerated performance.

Moreover, the Golf R 333 Limited Edition excels in responsiveness due to the open throttle valve during overrun phases. When the driver releases and re-engages the accelerator, this feature enables quicker engine torque buildup, enhancing dynamics and on-road performance. Clocking in at 4.6 seconds for the 0 to 100 km/h sprint, this limited edition Golf R outperforms its key competitors.

Adding to its allure, the Golf R 333 Limited Edition stands out with its Lime Yellow Metallic paint, expanding the color range alongside Pure White, Lapiz Blue Metallic, and Deep Black Pearl Effect.

The standard equipment of the Golf R 333 Limited Edition is nothing short of impressive. It includes premium sport seats wrapped in Nappa leather, featuring integrated head restraints. Illuminating the road ahead are the powerful IQ.LIGHT LED matrix headlights, complete with the Light and Vision package.

State-of-the-art driver-assist systems, part of the IQ.DRIVE package, ensure safety and convenience. These systems encompass Travel Assist, Lane Assist, Emergency Assist, and Adaptive Cruise Control (ACC) with stop & go functionality.

The Limited Edition also offers a center airbag (front) and a rearview camera system. For the ultimate audio experience, the Harman Kardon sound system with 8+1 loudspeakers and 480 W total output provides perfect sound quality within the cabin.
