KARACHI: The number of active taxpayers has increased to 1.88 million for tax year 2018 by April 07, 2019, revealed by official document on Monday.
The weekly updated Active Taxpayers List (ATL) for tax year 2018 issued on Monday showed the number of return filers increased to 1,886,848 by week ended April 07, 2019. The total number of last ATL for tax year 2017 had contained 1.84 million active taxpayers.
The number of active taxpayers will increase further as return filing date for tax year 2018 has been increased until April 30, 2019.
The FBR estimated two million return filers for tax year 2018.
