Cadbury Dairy Milk Pakistan Collaborates with PCB to Promote Women’s Cricket

Karachi, November 21, 2023 – In a groundbreaking move for women’s sports in Pakistan, Cadbury Dairy Milk Pakistan has joined forces with the Pakistan Cricket Board (PCB) and Khelo Kricket to champion women cricketers across the nation.

As part of Cadbury Dairy Milk’s commitment to goodness and generosity, the brand has taken on the role of an Associate Sponsor for women’s cricket, aiming to illuminate the path for the next generation of female cricketers. To achieve this, the company has introduced customized packaging featuring star players from Pakistan’s Women’s Cricket Team, portraying them not just as athletes but as inspiring figures for aspiring young players.

To amplify support for women in cricket, Cadbury Dairy Milk has launched the “Get in the Game” campaign, strategically targeting the parents of these talented sportswomen. The campaign endeavors to create a compelling narrative, underscoring the pivotal role of parental support in encouraging female participation in cricket.

Sami Wahid, Managing Director of Mondelez Pakistan, expressed his enthusiasm for the initiative, stating, “For me, the most significant factor is the empowerment of genuinely talented young sportswomen who have all the potential to make a mark globally. I could not be happier to carry on the legacy of equitable opportunities that Mondelez identifies with. Cadbury Dairy Milk’s ‘Get in The Game’ is a wave of change, a surge of inspiration, and a bright new future for our young girls.”

To further bolster its commitment, Cadbury Dairy Milk Pakistan has introduced a scholarship program executed by Khelo Kricket. The program will be rolled out in major cities including Karachi, Lahore, Rawalpindi, and Islamabad, with the primary objective of providing aspiring women cricketers with a level playing field. The response to the scholarship program has been overwhelming, with over 1700 entries from girls eager to pursue opportunities in cricket, showcasing the program’s potential impact.

This collaborative effort between Cadbury Dairy Milk, PCB, and Khelo Kricket marks a significant stride towards fostering gender equality and nurturing talent in women’s cricket. The partnership is poised to make a lasting impact by empowering women cricketers, enabling them to contribute significantly to the growth of cricket in Pakistan while showcasing the country’s potential for equitable opportunities in sports.
