Sindh Revenue Board Extends Deadline for July 2023 Sales Tax Return Filing

Karachi, August 11, 2023 – In a recent development, the Sindh Revenue Board (SRB) has decided to grant an extension for the filing of sales tax returns for the month of July 2023.

The provincial revenue authority has issued a circular outlining the revised deadlines for this important tax compliance procedure.

According to the circular, registered individuals and entities, including the withholding agents who fall under the purview of the Sindh Sales Tax Special Procedure (Withholding) Rules, 2014, are now permitted to e-deposit their Sindh sales tax amounts for the tax period of July 2023. This extension allows them to make the required deposits on or before Thursday, August 17, 2023.

Additionally, the SRB has also extended the e-filing deadline for tax returns relating to the same tax period. Registered persons are now granted extra time to e-file their tax returns for the month of July 2023, with the new deadline set for Monday, August 21, 2023.
